Accurate video data on the watch page
Add VideoObject Markup
Connect the visible video to a unique name, thumbnail, date, duration, and accessible content/embed URL in valid JSON-LD.
- markup matches a video users can watch on the page;
- thumbnail and media/player are accessible to crawlers;
- required and recommended fields pass published-URL testing.

Business outcomes
Clear entity
Search receives accurate data for the page's primary video.
Accessible media
Thumbnail and video/player URLs are checked separately from JSON-LD syntax.
Scalable template
The CMS generates unique values and safe fallbacks without duplicates.
What we do
- Identify watch pages, the primary video element/player, and metadata sources.
- Match visible name/description/date/duration/thumbnail to actual media.
- Add VideoObject with required
name,thumbnailUrl,uploadDate, and applicable recommended fields. - Provide a crawlable
contentUrlfor actual bytes or an exact playerembedUrl. - Remove plugin/template duplicates, false view counts, and markup for hidden/unavailable videos.
- Run Rich Results Test, rendered-page checks, URL Inspection, media access, and sampled template retesting.
