I added code to the page header that retrieves the product image from the database and includes it in the markup.
The image type and dimensions are detected automatically, and those values are included in the markup as well.

Every catalog section also has its own image. Catalog sections are shared just as often as product links, so I implemented the markup for every catalog section as well.
